ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — 26-year-old Tyrone Jiggetts Jr. was arraigned on Monday after he was arrested over the weekend. Jiggetts is accused of shooting four people in two separate incidents in Rochester; two of the victims were killed.
Jiggetts was already on parole for a previous weapons conviction. Police say he had two loaded handguns and more than 150 rounds of ammunition on him when officers took him into custody over the weekend.
Jiggetts was arraigned at the Hall of Justice and pleaded not guilty. He was remanded without bail.
In January, three people were shot on North Clinton Avenue. Investigators say more than 20 shots were fired and 30-year-old Luis Morales died in the shooting.
Then, on Feb. 26, someone with two guns fired at least 16 shots into a parked car on Rialto Street. 41-year-old Juan Mendez died in that shooting.
Jiggetts’s next court date is set for Thursday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m.
