Penfield CSD starting its ‘Test to Stay’ program Dec. 1

PENFIELD, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Penfield Central School District Tuesday announced it will start its “Test to Stay” program on Wednesday, Dec. 1.

The program will allow unvaccinated, asymptomatic children who have been placed into mandatory quarantine to return to school as long as they report to the health office for testing upon arrival at school and test negative. If they test positive, they will be sent home.

Schools in Monroe County are allowed to implement the policy starting Nov. 29.

Penfield wanted some extra time to get permission from parents.
