Pittsford Chase Bank ATM broken into was out of order

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says that a Chase Bank ATM in Pittsford was broken into Friday morning—but the ATM was out of order, and the suspects left empty-handed.
The call came in at approximately 1:46 a.m. for the report that the drive-through ATM was broken into at Chase Bank located at 31 State Street.
It is believed a suspect(s) in a pickup truck attached chains to the ATM and ripped it apart in an attempt to take money from it. There was no money contained in the ATM, as it was out of order. The truck believed to be used in the incident was located nearby and believed to be stolen. It is believed the suspects left the area in a separate vehicle.
MCSO is actively investigating this incident and is asking members of the community to report any and all information they may have in relation to this incident by calling 911.
