Police in Myrtle Beach to search again for missing Chili teen
Myrtle Beach Police tell News10NBC’s affiliate, WMBF, that a search will be conducted this weekend for missing Chili teenager, Brittanee Drexel.
Police say the search will be conducted on private property in Georgetown County, near the Charleston County line. Police say they have been following up on existing information about the case and rechecking some things. The search is not open to the public. The area being searched in Georgetown County is near where Drexel’s cellphone sent its last signal.
In 2009, the 17-year-old vanished after she went to Myrtle Beach without telling her parents.
Brittanee’s mother, Dawn, has since moved to Myrtle Beach to search for her.
