Police investigate suspects’ connection to shots fired into Rochester home

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester police are investigating four people who they arrested on weapons charges for a possible role in firing shots into a house on Monday morning.
RPD responded to reports of shots fired at 2:30 a.m. and found that multiple bullets struck an occupied home on Bernard Street with a 14-year-old inside. None of the occupants were injured.
While investigating the crime, officers pulled over a vehicle that they said contained an illegal handgun. All four people in that vehicle were taken to Monroe County Jail and charged with criminal possession of a weapon. RPD is still trying to determine if the suspects they arrested had a connection to the shots fired into the house.
The four people charged with criminal possession of a weapon are:
- Douglas Harris, age 23
- Princeston Williams, age 30
- Sharqois Bennett, age 22
- Juliany Canales, age 24
