Police make arrest after home shot up on Ackerman St.

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester police have arrested a 19-year-old after gunfire struck a home near Ackerman Street and Bay Street on Tuesday.

Three adults and five children, including a 1-year-old, were inside the home that was hit by several rounds around 1 a.m. None of them were injured.

Investigators said they stopped a "suspicious vehicle" that was leaving the shooting. They said Duane Adams was carrying an illegally possessed handgun. He was charged with illegal possession of a weapon and taken to Monroe County Jail.
