ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Protesters and police are in a standoff after several clashes involving pepper spray and pepper balls after protesters removed the barricades at the Public Safety Building.
At around 1 a.m. Friday, our crew was asked to return to their cars. They caught up to protesters later, when they regrouped near Jefferson Avenue and continued chanting and marching.
Police moved protesters away from the Public Safety Building toward Court Street. A group of about 20 remained when we were told to leave.
It appears some arrests were made.
