Police: Woman’s body found in Irondequoit home deemed not suspicious

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — Irondequoit Police say there is no longer anything suspicious about the body of a woman that was found in a home on Saturday.

Police Chief Alan Laird Tuesday said the department was notified by the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office the woman died of a "medical episode."

Police initially found the woman when they went to the scene of a welfare check at the home on the corner of Culver Road and Nixon Drive. At the time, they called her death "suspicious."

IPD did not release the woman’s identity.
