Portion of Cheese Factory Road in Mendon reopens after crash

MENDON, N.Y. (WHEC) — A portion of Cheese Factory Road in Mendon was closed for several hours Monday due to a crash.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the road was closed between Pride Street and Quaker Meeting House Road.
A landscaping truck lost control of the trailer it was towing and it struck a utility pole, knocking the pole and the wires down, blocking the road, according to deputies.
National Grid was on the scene for several hours working to repair the damage. The road was closed from around 8:45 a.m. until around 3:20 p.m. Monday.
