Power outage updates: Geneseo Central Schools are closed Friday
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Geneseo Central Schools are closed on Friday because of power outages caused by the intense storm on Thursday evening.
The school district said regents exams on Friday will be administered in Livonia Schools. Geneseo CSD will provide transportation to Livonia.
Due to a power outage, school is closed on Friday, June 17th. The regents exams will still be administered and will be given at Livonia Schools. We will be providing transportation to school and then relocate the students over to Livonia for the tests.

In the town of Geneseo, more than 400 customers of RG&E and 40 customers of National Grid are still without power.
Overall, more than 750 people in Livingston County have no power as of Friday morning, including in parts of Livonia and Lima. More than 550 people in Ontario County also still have no power. That includes around 100 RG&E customers in Canindagua and 150 National Grid customers in West Bloomfield.

News10NBC reported that several residents of these two counties had trees crash onto their lawn after a storm with high-speed winds and intense rain. One resident of East Lake Road in Livonia said the storm ripped multiple trees from the ground and onto his lawn
"We were in the house and I told them to get down the basement. I’ve never seen anything like it. We had a little baby in the house and trees just ripping out of the ground," said Dylan Szczesniak of Livonia.
