ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — If you’re planning to attend either of the large-scale high school athletic championships, you’ll have to follow state COVID-19 guidelines.
Specifically, anyone five and older will have to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test before attending the state wrestling or boys basketball championships.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) also notified members that vaccines will be required to attend the competitive cheerleading championships at RIT in March.
The university’s policy for events with 400 people or more doesn’t allow for proof of a negative test.
