ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— New proposed legislation aims to help restaurants in Monroe County that rely on third-party food delivery services, such as GrubHub and DoorDash.
Monroe County Legislator Rachel Barnhart introduced the two separate bills.
The first would not allow the delivery services to list restaurants on their platforms without written authorization. The second would limit what the services can charge restaurants for delivery fees — capping it at 15% of the purchase price for each online order.
An emergency order by the county that capped fees expired last month.
The two proposed bills will go before a committee on Monday.
