Protest planned for upcoming Rochester Board of Education meeting
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Community advocates for equitable spending will be demonstrating outside the Rochester Board of Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday night.
The Rochester City School District is expected to announce its spending plan publicly after its final budget meeting next week.
This will be the third budget meeting demonstrators have shown up for.
The group wants to make sure the district is using the state and federal funds it’s receiving in a way that creates a supportive learning environment for all Rochester students.
The rally is planned for 5 p.m.
