ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Since the pandemic began, there was speculation that remote learning might change snow days for students.

Friday the Rochester City School District confirmed that if the district needs to take more than three snow days, they will shift to remote learning days for hazardous weather.

"I know Rochester’s weather and we may have more than three snow days,” said Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small. “In that case, any day beyond those three will be designated as remote instructional days with students and teachers working from home."

That will allow schools to make sure any scheduled recess days stay in place.

The superintendent said students should take their technology home every day during the winter months, just in case.
