Red Wings Fall Out 1st Place; Drop 8th Straight Game

SCRANTON, PA (WHEC) – The Red Wings let their losing streak extend to eight games after Wednesday night against the Railriders, to whom they fell 10-6. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tagged Logan Verrett for 5 earned runs in 5.1 innings of work six days after the right-hander tossed six shutout innings in Saint Paul, MN.

Despite scoring a run in the 1st and 8th inning along with a pair in the 4th and 6th, Rochester fell to (35-27) on the season and dropped out of first place in the International League East. A Buffalo win over Lehigh Valley lifted the Bisons to a 1.5 game lead in the division just over a week after the Red Wings took four of six from them.

Rochester looks for it’s first win in over ten days when they play the third game of this series Thursday evening.
