ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Could former governor Andrew Cuomo be planning a comeback? There have been rumors since he resigned back in August.
In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, sources close to Cuomo said he is working on a plan to make his first public appearance post-resignation and that he and his remaining aides have been calling former allies to complain about current New York State Attorney General Letitia James.
While the aides told the interviewer that Cuomo never mentioned a campaign, some of those former allies think Cuomo is considering a run against James.
Though, a spokesperson for Cuomo has denied that he has any interest in running for the position.
Cuomo and his legal team have repeatedly challenged the findings of Attorney General James’s report which detailed the stories of 11 women who claimed that the former governor sexually harassed or otherwise mistreated them. His lawyers say information was left out of the report.
