Report: Fired CNN anchor Chris Cuomo planning to sue network for $18 million

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo is preparing to sue his old network, that’s according to a new report from the New York Post.

Sources told The Post Cuomo is set to sue CNN if it doesn’t pay him at least $18 million to cover what’s left on his contract.

Cuomo was fired from the network after documents released last week revealed he helped his brother, former governor Andrew Cuomo, defend himself against sexual misconduct allegations.

The article says CNN has no plans to pay Cuomo, though reps for the network and former anchor declined to comment
