RFD: Crews battle late night house fire in Rochester

ROCHESTER (WHEC) — Investigators are working to figure out what caused a fire at a home in Rochester.

The Rochester Fire Department responded to Bay and Fifth Streets just before 11 p.m. Friday night for multiple calls reporting of a house fire.

It took firefighters almost half an hour to bring the fire under control.

They were able to contain the fire to just one house.

An exposed detached garage on the property did receive some fire damage. The 1st floor of the house suffered significant fire damage.

The rest of the home suffered some smoke and water damage.

There were no injuries reported.
