ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Area Community Foundation is giving away free tickets and admission to a wide range of arts organizations and events.

The 24 sites include museums like the Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester Museum and Science Center, and the Jello Museum. It also includes live performances at the Eastman Theater, Garth Fagan Dance, and more.

The Community Foundation will offer free admission on specific days. This is a celebration of the group’s 50th anniversary this year.

"We want to offer free arts experiences for people across the community who have been trapped in their homes, isolated by COVID and may not be able to get out may not have the money," said Jennifer Leonard, president of the Community Foundation.

The first of the 24 free opportunities is the gateways music festival’s concert at the Eastman Theatre. The Community Foundation will provide up to 400 free seats for the April 20 event.
