Rochester City Council Member Willie Lightfoot on death of Daniel Prude

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester City Council Member Willie Lightfoot shared his thoughts on the Daniel Prude incident with News10NBC.

We asked him about his response to the body camera video released Wednesday and the mayor’s announcement that the officers involved are being suspended with pay.

We also asked him about calls for Mayor Lovely Warren and Police Chief La’Ron Singletary to resign over the incident, and about his perspective on the incident as Chair of the Public Safety Committee.
