Rochester Fringe Festival to require proof of vaccination for indoor performances
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— If you want to attend a portion of this year’s Rochester Fringe Festival, you’re going to need to show you’ve been vaccinated.
In a release Thursday, organizers said proof of vaccination will be required in order to attend any indoor performances at the festival. The rules also apply to performances and staff members.
Organizers cited increasing COVID cases and hospitalizations with the presence of the Delta variant.

This year’s Fringe Fest will be a hybrid festival with in-person as well as online events and performances.
To be clear, the rule applies to indoor performances specifically, your status will be checked at the door.
The festival runs from Sept. 14-25. The entire lineup of performances, as well as ticket sales, will start on Aug 18.
