Rochester holding public hearings on proposed new charter schools next week
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester is taking the first steps toward having more charter school options.
The Rochester School Board will hold two public hearings to gather input on applications for charter schools called the Green Tech Rochester Elementary Charter School and Rochester Sports Academy Charter School of Business and Health Science.
The board will then share the feedback it receives with the New York State Education Department.
The hearings will be held next Thursday, March 24 at 6 p.m., via Zoom video conferencing.
In-person attendance will be limited to 20 people, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
