Rochester man charged in Livingston County storage unit burglaries

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man is facing charges in storage unit burglaries that happened back in August in Livingston County.

Deputies say one of the storage unit facilities hit is on Mount Morris Road in the Town of Leicester and the other is on Avon Geneseo Road in the Town of Avon. Both sets of burglaries were reported on Aug. 16, and involved items stolen from multiple storage units.

Investigators say Brandon W. Lee, 24, of Rochester cut the units’ locks and stole property from them. They arrested him on Friday and charged him with two counts of felony third degree burglary, two counts of felony third degree attempted burglary, four counts of petit larceny and four counts of fourth degree criminal mischief.

Deputies say Lee had an outstanding warrant and probation status, so Town of North Dansville Justice David Werth set his bail at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

He has already been arraigned.

The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the burglaries and looking for another suspect.
