ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The man accused of stabbing two people, killing one of them, was convicted of murder Wednesday.
The first stabbing happened on Bragdon Place in Rochester back in October 2019.
Police say 37-year-old Black Jewelz stabbed 24-year old David Oquendo in the chest. Oquendo died at the hospital.
A short time later a second man was stabbed on St. Paul Street. He survived.
The Monroe County District Attorney said Jewelz was also found guilty of attempted murder and assault.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 6.
