Rochester man indicted on manslaughter charge in crash that killed mother of 5

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Monroe County Grand Jury Wednesday indicted a Rochester man on several charges in connection to the deadly crash that killed a mother of five late last month.

20-year-old Taj Isaish-Joshua McMillan-Harris was indicted on second-degree manslaughter, three counts of second-degree assault, and a slew of other charges related to leaving the scene of the crash.

Police say McMillan-Harris was driving at least 80 mph in a stolen car when he crashed into a car with 36-year-old Tishara Pugh inside on Whittlesey Street near the corner of Seward Street. Pugh died, and a man also inside the car was seriously hurt.

RPD says McMillan-Harris ran from the scene and wasn’t caught until roughly four days after the deadly crash.
