Rochester man shot on the city’s north side

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police are investigating after a man was shot on the city’s north side Monday night.

Rochester Police responded to the area of North Clinton Avenue and Kohlman Street just before 7:00 p.m. for the report of shots that were heard.

Upon arrival, officers found a 32-year-old Rochester man who was shot at least once in the lower extremities.

The man was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive.

Police say one of the houses in the area did have a bullet travel through a window and the round almost struck a resident. This home did not appear to be in the intended target.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
