Rochester Museum & Science Center ranks top 10 for best science museums across US

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) – Rochester Museum & Science Center ranked number eight on the list of top 10 best science museums in the country, based on a USA Today poll released Friday.

RMSC was the only science museum in New York State on the list. A panel of experts made the initial nominations and USA Today readers, along with the public, voted to determine the top 10.

Hillary Olson, the president of RMSC, said it’s incredible to get national recognition for the museum’s programs to foster curiosity for science.

“It’s inspiring for the entire RMSC team to see that our community, visitors, and members believe in the value we provide to our region as a place to learn and engage with science,” Olson said.

The first place in the poll went to the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, Ohio.
