ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The RPO will get $150,000 from the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) as part of the American Rescue Plan.

The NEA is awarding grants of over $57 million to more than 500 arts organizations across the country. The $150,000 grant is the maximum amount given out.

The RPO puts on 150 concerts and broadcasts each year, serving as one of the leading arts oganizations in Rochester. The funding will help save jobs and fund operations, facilities, and other crucial factors to keeping it fit to run successfully.

This will be extremely important, as the RPO went virtual last season. There has been limited attendance this season.
