Rochester Police investigating double shooting on Plymouth Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police say at about 11:30 p.m. Friday officers were called to the area of 55 North Plymouth Avenue for the report that a female had been shot.

When officers arrived, they located a 36 year old male and a 32 year old female, who are both city residents, with gunshot wounds to their lower bodies.

Both victims were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulances.

Officers say the preliminary investigation indicates the victims were involved in an altercation in front of 50 N. Plymouth Avenue when they were shot.

The suspect fled the scene before to officers arrived.
