Rochester Police investigating three overnight shootings

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — It was another busy night for Rochester police as the city now has 75 homicides this year.

The Rochester Police Department is investigating a homicide near Athens Street and Harris Street.

Police said they found a man in his 30’s who was shot multiple times around 11:00 p.m. Saturday. That victim was brought to the hospital where he later died.

Rochester Police said there was another shooting on Driving Park Avenue Saturday night.

Officers arrived to that scene about 15 minutes after Athens Street. There they found a 29-year-old Rochester man that had been shot.

He’s been taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police also said a 28-year-old Rochester man was shot on Durnan Street around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Police said he was at a house party when he was shot. That man was taken to the hospital before officers arrived. He is expected to survive.

There are no suspects in custody for all three shootings.

This investigation is on-going for all of these shootings and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
