Rochester Police looking into shots fired, stolen car crashed into tree near Conkey Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police are looking into who fired off a gun and then crashed a stolen car into a tree and took off Wednesday morning.
Police went to the scene near Conkey Avenue and Hooker Street around 2 a.m. for a call of somebody shot. Officers didn’t find anybody hit but they say they found evidence somebody shot off some rounds. According to the Rochester Police Locust Club’s Twitter account, at least five rounds were fired.
While on the scene, they found a car that hit a tree, but nobody was inside it. The RPLC reports the car was stolen. Officers did not say if the two incidents are exactly connected. RPD says it called the local hospitals and found no new gunshot victims.
