Rochester Police: Man seriously hurt, school briefly on lockout following shooting on Hudson Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police say a city man is fighting for his life following a shoot Thursday morning,
Police went to the scene on Hudson Avenue near Norton Street around 8:45 a.m. for a call of a man shot. RPD told News10NBC they found a man in his 60s with a gunshot wound to his lower body.
Police say nearby Franklin High School was sent into lockout as a precaution, but believe the victim was targeted and there is no believed threat to the public.
Police are canvassing the neighborhood looking for surveillance video.
No arrests have been made, RPD is asking anyone with information to call 911.
