Rochester Police searching for suspect in Sunday morning car theft

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Rochester Police are searching for a suspect after a car theft Sunday morning.

Rochester Police Officers responded to the intersection of Parkway and Bloss St just before 3:00 a.m. for the report of a male lying in the roadway.

Officers report the victim was sitting in his car on Parkway when his vehicle was stolen at gunpoint.

Police say the 46-year-old, non-city resident, did suffer non-life threatening injuries during the incident, but he was not shot.

He was transported to URMC via AMR where he was treated for those injuries.

This investigation is on-going and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
