Rochester Police: Webster investigation tied to city shooting victim

WEBSTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Rochester Police say a Friday morning investigation at an apartment complex in Webster is tied to a shooting that happened in the city.

Police say they got a call from Webster Police around 1:30 a.m. for a Webster man with a gunshot wound. As WPD began looking into how the man got shot, they found out he was shot during a robbery on Upper Falls Boulevard in Rochester.

A little before 2 a.m both departments could be seen searching around the Country Manor Apartments, which are right off Philips Road near Ridge Road.

A News10NBC crew on the scene saw officers going through the garage area and looking at cars.

Police say the man was taken from the apartment to Strong Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made, anyone with information is asked to call 911.
