ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Public Market will be a unique experience this weekend.
A touring sculpture called "That Place in the Stars" by Christopher Curtis will be there.
The piece is going from Vermont to Oklahoma and Rochester is one of a handful of pit stops along the way. Rochester artists’ collective The Yards sponsored the installation.
It will be next to the fountain at the Public Market on Saturday, though at 24 ft. x 21 ft. x 7 ft. it will likely be hard to miss.
Rochester is the third stop on the tour. Others include PrattMWP College of Art and Design in Utica, the Wade Oval Stage in the University Circle Park in Cleveland and the historic Cincinnati Observatory.
The tour’s final stop is at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after which it will be permanently installed at the collector’s home.
Garage sales and super fleas are also returning to the Public Market this weekend.
