Rochester Red Wings release 2022 schedule

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Red Wings home game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs Wednesday night was postponed due to the rain.
The teams will play a single-admission doubleheader on Thursday. Both games will be seven innings.
The 2021 season isn’t over yet, but the Wings have released the 2022 schedule.
AAA East will play 144 games from April 5 through Sept. 21.
The six-game series format returns next season with a majority of off-days coming on Mondays again.

Rochester will open the season at Toledo for only the second time in history. The last time they played there on opening day was in 1965.
