BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WHEC) – Brownstein’s Bakery and Deli in Brighton closed its doors to the public for the last time Sunday. Their business has served the Rochester community for 35 years. They cited staffing issues, fueled by the pandemic, as the reason for closing.

“I just want to thank everybody that came in for 35 years. I made some real nice friends and I appreciate everything. Their commitment to us is as our commitment is to them, and I just wanted to thank them,” said owner Erwin Brown.

Brownstein’s will continue to provide their products through wholesale distribution to different organizations around Rochester.
