ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Pittsford native Chris Lillis visited Rochester School No. 19 Friday to share his experience winning an Olympic gold medal.

Lillis, 23, won gold in the mixed team skiing aerials in the 2022 Winter Olympics. He almost won a second medal, but fell just short.

His mother, Jamie Lillis, has taught at Dr. Charles T. Lunsford School No. 19 for over thirty years.

"This is like another family for me, I know many of the kids and their families. Chris has come in over the years and you know talked to the kids about things he’s been doing. So to have this follow through where they can see that here’s the gold, they’re coming back, and still giving back to our community means the world to me.", she said.
