Rochester to have Charter School Virtual Fair on March 21

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — GoodSchoolsRoc will host a virtual fair for students interested in charter school on Monday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m.

Charter schools give students a different option at a specialized school open to K-12 students. There are currently 14 charter schools available in the Rochester area, making up 25 locations. Currently, over 7,400 students are enrolled.

The event is free and open to the public but registration is required. You can click here for more on registering.

The deadline to enter the lottery for the Rochester charter school is April 1. Parents are encouraged to apply by that deadline when schools have the most openings.

Charters are free public schools and accept special ed students as well as English language learners.
