Rosh Hashanah begins Monday night, celebrate the Jewish New Year with these Rochester area events

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monday night marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah.
Thousands of Jewish families in the Rochester area will be celebrating the beginning of the Jewish New Year.
Here are several local events being held tonight:
- The Jewish Student Life Organization at the University of Rochester will be holding a dinner at 6:15 p.m. followed by services at 7:30 p.m.
- Kessler Family Chabad Center on Winton Road will host a delicious traditional feast at 7:15 p.m following services on the first night of Rosh Hashanah in a large tent. Throughout the meal, attendees will be treated to inspiring stories and traditional songs.
- Temple Emanu-El Erev at the JCC campus will hold a Rosh Hashanah evening service from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
