RPD: 2 men charged in Thomas Street K9 pursuit

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — RPD has identified multiple suspects involved in an incident that happened on April 2 which led to a foot pursuit near Thomas Street.
According to RPD, at approximately 1:20 p.m. officers were in the area of Thomas Street on an unrelated police call when they heard gunshots being fired in the area.
Officers observed two males running from the area, one with a firearm in his hand.
The investigation identified that Thenry Calvin, 22, ran from police with a loaded, stolen, .40 caliber Glock handgun. Officers pursued him to a house on Cuba Place. After refusing numerous orders to drop the gun, Calvin threw it into an open window of the house.
The second male has been identified as 20-year-old Shaheen Britt. After pursuing him in a foot chase, a New York State Police K9 bit Britt in the lower body. During his arrest, Britt discarded a loaded 9mm "ghost gun." He was taken into custody at the same house on Cuba Place.
As the investigation continued, a 16-year-old was also taken into custody for possession of a Kahr 9mm handgun which had also been reported stolen.
The 2 adult males were transported to the Monroe County Jail. The 16-year-old was referred to the Monroe County Family Court.
Calvin is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C felony.
Britt is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C felony.
