ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police have arrested a woman for not complying with an investigation into a deadly hit-and-run on North Winton Road in February.
The Rochester Police Department said that 38-year-old Fatimah Holiday was the owner of the car that struck and killed Richard Massey Jr. as he walked out of his vehicle. Police haven’t yet identified a suspect who may have been driving the car.
Holiday has been charged with hindering prosecution, along with insurance fraud. She was taken to Monroe County Jail on Tuesday and will be arraigned Wednesday morning.
Before his death, 36-year-old Massey was driving when he saw a car crash early morning on Feb. 6 that involved someone he knew. Police said he got out of his car to check on the person when one of the drivers involved in the crash hit him and drove off.
Police are still trying to identify a person of interest who may have information about the hit-and-run. RPD said the man was at the Blossom Road Pub the night of Feb. 5 into Feb. 6.
