ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police said a collision with a stolen car sent another car flying into a home in northwest Rochester on Monday night.
The Rochester Police Department responded to the crash at the intersection of Dewey Ave and Glendale Park just before midnight. Officers said the stolen vehicle was traveling down Glendale Park when it ran a red light, causing the crash.
No one was living inside the home during the crash. The driver that crashed into the home, a 31-year-old man, and a passenger of the stolen car, a 26-year-old woman, were taken to Strong Hospital. Both are expected to be ok.
RPD said the driver of the stolen car fled the scene and they found an illegal firearm near the crash. They’re currently trying to look for the driver and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
No charges have been announced yet.
