ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) – Rochester Police say that a father and a son are suspects in a shooting that occurred on Feb. 9 on the 200 block of Saxton Street.

The RPD on Wednesday charged 23-year-old Carlos Ubiles Jr. with criminal possession of a weapon. Investigators believe that he and his 43-year-old father, Carlos Ubiles Sr., shot a man multiple times, who later recovered at Strong Hospital.

It was Niagara Falls Police that apprehended Ubiles Jr. on Saturday and turned him over to RPD. His father was arrested nearly a month ago after a vehicle pursuit in Rochester and also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Ubiles Sr. had a previous conviction for possessing a controlled substance. During the investigation, police recovered a loaded handgun with a defaced serial number.
