RPD: Ghost gun found on a man police charged in Lake Ave shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester police said a man was carrying a ghost gun when they charged him on Tuesday in connection with shooting a 19-year-old.
RPD charged Travelle Gulley, 20, with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The victim who he allegedly shot on Feb. 20 on Lake Avenue also faces weapons charges.
When police arrested Gulley on Monday at Genesee Street, he had a 9mm ghost gun on him. He was transported to Monroe County jail and was arraigned on Tuesday.
On Febaury 20, police responded to a man suffering from several gunshot wounds on Lake Avenue by Twin Beeches Drive. Gulley is accused of firing at the victim’s car and the victim was able to exit the vehicle and return fire.
The victim survived after treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries at Strong Hospital. The day after the shooting, the victim was charged with criminal possession of a weapon following a police investigation.
