RPD investigating after 18-year-old shot on Dewey Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester police responded to Dewey Avenue on Sunday afternoon for a report of a shooting where an 18-year-old male suffered at least one gunshot wound.
This happened just hours after another shooting occurred on Lake Avenue near Twin Beeches Drive.
According to RPD, at approximately 2:28 pm., police were dispatched after a report of shots fired in the upper 1800 block of Dewey Avenue.
After investigation, police learned that a male was shot and was brought to Unity Hospital.
The gunshot victim is an 18-year-old male city resident with at least one gunshot wound. His injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening.
The shooting is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
