RPD: Teenager arrested for gunpoint carjacking

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police said they’ve arrested a 15-year-old for a gunpoint carjacking on St. Paul Street Wednesday.

Officers spotted the victim’s vehicle around 4 p.m. while responding to the scene.

The people in the car bailed out but after a short foot chase, police caught the driver.

The 15-year-old had also been reported as a missing person. Police say he was directed to the appropriate court.

Officers say they recovered a rifle that had been stolen out of Monroe County.
