State Police find vehicle involved in deadly hit-and-run on I-390 in Livingston County
LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. (WHEC) — New York State Police believe they have found the car involved in the deadly hit-and-run that happened on I-390 in Livingston County Sunday morning.
It happened in the own of Groveland near Exit 7 by Mount Morris and Letchworth State Park, directly across from the American Rock Salt mine.
Troopers say 36-year-old Steven Drachenberg from Buffalo, was killed as he walked in the passing lane of I-390 southbound just after 3 a.m. Investigators believe he ran out of gas and had exited his vehicle when he was hit.
Troopers did not release any information about the vehicle they found but did say they are still looking for witnesses.
