State Police: Person taken into custody without incident in Manchester

MANCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — New York State Police say a person was taken into custody without incident after a large police presence at a home near the Thruway in Manchester that lasted for several hours Tuesday.

The incident started at around 9:30 a.m. at a home on State Route 96, and police told News10NBC at around 5:20 p.m. that the person was taken into custody without incident.

State Police previously told News10NBC the person has had problems with police before and there was no danger to the community during the investigation.
