State Public Service Commission to address petition for Mt. Morris solar power plant in public meeting
MT. MORRIS, N.Y. (WHEC) — The New York State Public Service Commission will address a petition filed by the Morris Ridge Solar Energy Center during a virtual public hearing on Tuesday.
Morris Ridge is seeking a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) from the commission. It filed the petition back in June.
If the certificate is issued, it would authorize Morris Ridge to build and operate a major solar generating facility in the Town of Mt. Morris, Livingston County.
It’s scheduled to start at 1 p.m., but anyone who wants to comment during the hearing must pre-register by 3 p.m. on Monday.
